The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is a highly developed regional cooperation organization representing an economically vibrant region with a population of about 670 million people. As a result, it has come to be of outmost interest as an economic partner to the EU and Germany. The EU's Free-Trade-Agreements with Singapore in 2019 and Vietnam in 2020 were important milestones in this partnership. As a leading sector of the NRW economy in terms of growth and driver of innovation, the green economy in North-Rhine Westphalia needs to find its position in the wake of these developments.
To address this pressing issue, KNUW is participating in the upcoming NRW-ASEAN Summit on 20th April 2023. The Summit will provide an opportunity for companies, associations, and multipliers to explore potential markets, partners and the institutional framework in the ASEAN region. Participants will have the chance to consult one-on-one with representatives of the region’s Chambers of Commerce, make contacts, and obtain further detailed information.
The Summit is organized by IHK North Westphalia in cooperation with NRW. Global Business, supported by IHK NRW and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection, and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Participation in the event is free. Click here for more information.
